As a joint program offered by both the UIC School of Public Health and the UIC College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, the UIC Emergency Management and Resilience Planning certificate distinguishes itself from graduate programs at other institutions. The multi-disciplinary curriculum is taught by a combination of public health faculty members, federal emergency practioners and seasoned private sector leaders. The knowledgeable and skilled faculty members have numerous years of experience both inside and outside the classroom, including expertise in various industries, such as sustainability and resilience; public health emergency operations; and urban emergency management.
