Tuition and Financial Aid

EMRP Tuition and Fees
Effective Fall 2017, the EMRP tuition rate is $580 per credit hour for both in-state and out-of-state students.  In addition, there is also an $18 per credit hour Library and IT Assessment fee and a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $70.

Students in the EMRP online certificate program must complete a minimum of 16 credit hours to obtain the certificate.

NOTE: UIC employee tuition waivers are not accepted for this program. Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice any time prior to the first day of instruction.

Financial Aid

EMRP Online Certificate Program

As a graduate certificate program, the EMRP online certificate program does not result in a degree; therefore, financial aid is not offered for this program. However, certificate students may wish to look into alternative loans, also known as private loans. These are educational loans offered through a bank or other financial lender. Scholarships

The Alliance of Hazardous Materials and Professionals – Chicago chapter offers annually one $1500 Environmental Scholarship  in collaboration with DePaul University, University of  Illinois at Chicago and Illinois Institute of Technology.  The goal of the program is to support students who are investing in their future to the protection of the environment.  Students who are in the Emergency Management & Continuity Planning certificate program  or pursuing a career in an environmental field,  a full or part-time students at any of the three aforementioned schools and a junior, senior or graduate student in a degree or certificate program are eligible to apply.
